Ferrite VHF baluns

A new paper about ferrite VHF baluns made by Chris Trask is available HERE.

Among the topics of interest to radio amateurs, baluns are of particular interest as

they are to be found in balanced amplifiers and antenna matching networks, especially

in the case of balanced antennas such as dipoles. The author describes the alternatives available in the design of transformers for solid state RF amplifiers. The key parameters of different construction techniques are discussed with results shown for each.

Another article of the same author which describes 4:1 single core baluns is available HERE.

An interesting document made by NEOSID about the characteristics of ferrite magnetic materials is available HERE. And HERE you can find another interesting document related to toroids and their magnetic cores for power supply equipments. And HERE you can find the Mini Ring Core Calculator which can be used for all toroids to make any type of magnetic core device.

E invece QUI troverete un simpatico tool in DOS per il calcolo dei trasformatori RF con toroidi AMIDON, una vera chicca per i radioamatori. Just in Italian, sorry!
